A porn-stache for Dad

Two posts in two days! That’s crazy! Darcy, where/why did you find the time?

For my Dad. You see, A few years back my Dad found out that he had prostate cancer. It runs in the family, skipping a generation as it goes. My great grandfather had it, but my grandfather did not, and Ganesh willing I won’t either.

On Monday, I saw that one of my fellow MBA students has joined Movember. It is an annual, month-long celebration of the moustache, highlighting men’s health issues – specifically prostate and testicular cancer. The idea is to get a bunch of your friends together to donate to you growing a mustache for the month of November and that cash will be donated. And I figured, I should throw some good karma out there into the world and raise money to help make it easier when I might have this cancer 30 years from now. That’s right, I’m being selfish in a very socially conscious way. Boo yah…

Now why, you might ask, am I writing about this in a blog about being tall? Well, how often do you see a tall guy in a mustache? Seriously. We look creepy as hell. And mine… well, mine is going to look very French and I might have to start smoking or watching Jerry Lewis films. (That’s right France, you’ll never live your love of him down.) I’m not sure cause I’ve never grown one before. But hell, it’s for a good cause right? And for the enjoyment of you wonderful readers I’ll be taking photos of myself every day and turning it into a video after the gala part on Dec. 3rd.

So if you want to join my team or throw a few duckets in the bucket for prostate & testicular cancer research, just click here.

Come to me, of French porn-stache. You know you want to…
